Vanderbilt Sewing Club
Several of our members support the Vanderbilt Sewing Club.
The Vanderbilt Sewing Club currently makes comfort items for patients and families within the Vanderbilt Health system. Many of our items are utilized by breast cancer patients after surgery. This group makes mastectomy pillows, post-mastectomy drain aprons, soft knit fabric hats, lap blankets, and port pillows for seatbelts to bring comfort to patients. We make the sewing process easy by providing kits with all the materials and instructions needed for each project. If you do not sew but are willing to help cut materials, we can provide those materials as well. On-site and at-home opportunities are available. This club meets on the third Monday of each month.
